Box truck driver jobs in Miami

Non-CDL: a regular license can qualify. Main lane Miami to New York on I-95, plus loads across the 48 contiguous states. Requirements: 25 years or older, clean driving record (MVR), valid US work authorization, basic English proficiency and a current DOT medical card. Box truck driver job requirements

  1. 25 years or older

Interstate box truck work carries real responsibility for freight and equipment. Applicants must be at least 25.

  2. Clean driving record

We review your motor vehicle record (MVR). Serious violations, recent at-fault accidents or suspensions can disqualify an application.

  3. US work authorization

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to show documents that prove it.

  4. Basic English

Federal rules require interstate drivers to read and speak enough English to understand road signs, talk with officers and handle paperwork like the BOL.

  5. No CDL required

Our truck is non-CDL by weight class. A valid regular driver's license can qualify, and CDL holders are welcome too.

  6. DOT medical card

Interstate drivers of trucks over 10,000 lb need a current DOT medical examiner's certificate, even without a CDL.

What we offer

  1. Steady lane freight

Regular work on the Miami to New York lane in both directions, plus loads across the 48 contiguous states.

  2. Dispatch support

We book the loads, set the appointments and handle the broker paperwork, so you can focus on driving safely.

  3. Modern equipment

A 2021 International MV607 with a Cummins engine, hydraulic liftgate, e-track and an ELD for clean hours-of-service logs.

  4. Direct line to the owner

No layers of management. Questions about a load, the truck or your schedule go straight to the person who runs the company.

Owner-operator box truck partners

Run your own 26 ft box truck? We work with owner-operators who want steady freight without chasing load boards all day. You bring a reliable truck and professional driving; we bring dispatch, broker relationships on the Miami to New York lane and loads nationwide.

Owner-operator terms are discussed one on one, based on your truck, your lanes and how much you want to run. Apply below and select the truck option that matches yours.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a CDL to drive for Cobra US Cargo?

No. Our 2021 International MV607 box truck has a gross vehicle weight rating under 26,000 pounds, below the CDL threshold, so it does not require a commercial driver's license. A valid regular license plus a DOT medical card can qualify if you meet the other requirements: 25 or older, a clean driving record, US work authorization and basic English. Drivers with a CDL are welcome to apply as well.

Why do I need to speak English to drive interstate?

Federal motor carrier rules require interstate commercial drivers to read and speak English well enough to understand traffic signs, talk with officers and inspectors, and complete reports and paperwork like the bill of lading. Basic, practical English is the requirement. You do not need perfect English, but you must handle those situations on the road yourself.

What routes will I drive?

Most work runs on our anchor lane between Miami and the New York metro on I-95, in both directions. We also take loads across the 48 contiguous states, and our truck has run as far west as Utah. Runs are interstate and include nights on the road, so this job is not a local daily route.

Can I join as an owner-operator with my own truck?

Yes, if you run a 26 ft box truck, model year 2018 or newer, and you meet our driver requirements. A liftgate is preferred because many of our loads need one. Terms are discussed directly with the owner based on your truck and the lanes you want. Choose the owner-operator option on the application.

What happens after I apply?

We review every application ourselves and reply only to applicants whose record and experience match an opening. If that is you, we call or email to talk about next steps, including the MVR check. If nothing fits right now, we may keep your application on file for future openings, as described in our privacy policy.
