Partial truckload
Partial truckload from Miami, moved direct
Have 3 to 10 pallets? Partial truckload in our 26 ft box truck moves them direct from Miami, with no terminal stops and no cross-docks. For pallet shipping from Miami to New York, that often means fewer touches and a clearer delivery date than a traditional LTL network.

When a partial beats an LTL network
LTL carriers move freight through terminals. Your pallets get picked up, unloaded at a local terminal, sorted, loaded onto a linehaul trailer, cross-docked again at the destination terminal and finally put on a delivery truck. Every transfer is another forklift touch and another chance for damage or a missed connection.
An LTL box truck works differently. Your pallets go on our truck once at pickup and come off once at delivery. If you have more freight than a few parcels but less than a full trailer, a partial in a 26 ft box is often the cleaner option.
- Fewer touches: loaded once, unloaded once
- No terminal dwell between pickup and delivery
- Direct transit, with typical Miami to New York timing of 2 to 3 days
- Fragile, high-value or oddly shaped pallets stay where they were loaded
What to send for a partial truckload quote
Partials are priced on how much of the box your freight takes and where it goes. Send pallet count, the dimensions of each pallet, total weight, and whether the freight can be stacked. Non-stackable pallets use more floor, so that detail changes the rate. Add pickup and delivery ZIPs, dates and whether either end needs a liftgate.
Common partials across Florida and the East Coast
Typical LTL box truck loads from Florida include palletized retail stock, imported goods cleared through South Florida warehouses, trade show crates and machine parts. Northbound, partials often ride toward the New York and New Jersey market on our Miami to New York lane. If you ship the same partial every week, our dedicated Miami to New York lane can lock it in. Frequently asked questions
What is a partial truckload?
A partial truckload is a shipment too big for parcel and too small to fill a full trailer, usually a few pallets. In our 26 ft box truck, a partial is loaded at your dock and delivered direct, without passing through LTL terminals. It works well for 3 to 10 pallets, or for freight that should not be handled several times.
Is partial truckload cheaper than LTL?
Sometimes, but not always. For one or two small pallets, an LTL network is usually cheaper. As pallet count grows, or when freight is fragile, non-stackable or time-sensitive, a direct partial can cost about the same and arrive with fewer touches and a clearer date. Send your pallet count, dimensions and weight and we will quote it honestly.
How many pallets can you take as a partial?
Our box holds up to 12 standard 48 by 40 inch pallets on the floor, so a partial can be anywhere from a single crate to most of the truck. The fit depends on pallet size, height, weight and whether pallets stack. Give us those numbers and dispatch will confirm space before you book the load.
Can my partial share the truck with other freight?
It can, when routes line up, and that is part of what keeps a partial affordable. Your freight is secured with e-track straps and stays in place from pickup to delivery. If you need exclusive use of the truck, for example for high-value or time-critical freight, ask for our expedited box truck service instead.
