A nationwide box truck carrier based in Miami
Cobra US Cargo LLC is an interstate box truck carrier with its base in Miami and operating authority across the 48 contiguous states. We load in Florida, in the Northeast or wherever the freight is, and run it direct to the receiver in one box, with no terminals and no cross-docks along the way.
Long distance box truck shipping fits freight that is too big for parcel and too small, or too access-limited, for a 53 ft trailer: a few pallets up to a full box, crated equipment, retail stock, trade show freight. Our 26 ft trucks are non-CDL by weight class, carry hydraulic liftgates and reach receivers a tractor-trailer cannot.
How we plan long hauls under hours of service
Every interstate run is planned around federal hours-of-service rules and logged on an ELD. A solo driver can drive up to 11 hours inside a 14-hour on-duty window, takes a 30-minute break after 8 hours of driving, and needs 10 hours off before the next shift. That math, not wishful thinking, sets our transit estimates.
- A typical driving day covers roughly 500 to 600 miles, depending on traffic and stops
- Transit is quoted as a typical range, never as a guarantee
- Pickup and delivery appointments are built into the plan before dispatch
- Updates at pickup, in transit and at delivery, plus the signed POD
Typical corridors
Miami to New York, in both directions, is our target lane. Around it, these interstate corridors cover most of what Florida shippers and their brokers send out of state and back:
- Florida–New Jersey: I-95 and the NJ Turnpike to Exit 8A, the Meadowlands and Port Newark–Elizabeth
- Miami–Atlanta: I-75 to the I-285 perimeter, Fulton Industrial and McDonough
- Miami–Chicago: I-75 and I-65 to the I-55 corridor, Joliet and Elk Grove
- Florida–Texas: I-10 to Houston and on to Dallas–Fort Worth
- Florida–Pennsylvania: I-95 to Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley
- Miami–Charlotte: I-95, I-26 and I-77 to Charlotte and the I-85 corridor
Off the map? We still quote it
Off these corridors, we quote point-to-point loads anywhere in the 48 states, and we have already hauled as far west as Utah. Send both ZIPs, your dates and the pallet details, and dispatch tells you where the nearest truck is and what the run costs.
Owner-operator capacity is growing
Our fleet of 26 ft box trucks is backed by a growing owner-operator program, so interstate capacity keeps pace as brokers add lanes. Every owner-operator's driver meets the same standards as our company drivers and runs under our dispatch, with the same paperwork and the same update routine. Need recurring capacity on one of these lanes? Set up dedicated lanes. Freight that cannot wait goes expedited. For a rate, use the quote form.

Frequently asked questions
What areas does Cobra US Cargo serve?
Cobra US Cargo LLC serves the 48 contiguous states from its base in Miami, Florida. Miami to New York is the target lane, and regular corridors run to New Jersey, Atlanta, Chicago, Texas, Pennsylvania and the Carolinas, in both directions. Off those corridors, dispatch quotes point-to-point loads nationwide and sets up dedicated lanes for brokers. Send both ZIP codes and your dates for a rate and a typical transit time.
What freight does Cobra US Cargo haul?
Cobra US Cargo LLC hauls dry commercial freight: palletized and boxed goods, crates, retail store deliveries, e-commerce and 3PL overflow, trade show freight, building materials, and B2B furniture and fixtures. Each 26 ft box truck takes up to 12 standard pallets, weight permitting, and carries a hydraulic liftgate for no-dock stops. It does not haul hazmat or refrigerated freight. Send dimensions and weight, and dispatch confirms the fit.
How long does long distance box truck shipping take?
It depends on the miles and on hours-of-service rules for a solo driver. As typical ranges, Miami to Atlanta or Charlotte takes 1 to 2 days, and Miami to New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Texas or Pennsylvania takes 2 to 3 days. Pickup time, weather, traffic and delivery appointments decide the exact timing, which we estimate at quote time.
When is a box truck better than a 53 ft trailer?
A box truck fits loads of a few pallets up to a full box, freight that should not be cross-docked, and receivers without a dock or with tight street access. Our 26 ft trucks take up to 12 standard pallets each, weight permitting, and the hydraulic liftgate handles street-level unloads. For a full 53 ft load, a tractor-trailer is usually the better value.
Can you take a load that does not start in Florida?
Yes. We quote interstate loads that start and end anywhere in the 48 states, and they often pair well with a truck heading back toward Miami. The rate depends on where our nearest truck is, the miles, the freight and the appointments. Send pickup and delivery ZIPs, dates and pallet details, and dispatch confirms availability quickly.
